I was born in Prescot, in the UK, and was interested in storytelling from a young age when I started making short films with friends. As I got older, my interest in screenwriting grew, leading me to write feature film scripts and further short films that I also enjoyed acting in. Acting led me to community theatre, where I performed in a number of plays in and around Liverpool. It was during this time that I started writing my debut novel, A Single Source of Truth.
Bitten by the theatre bug, I wrote and directed my first stage play, Millionaires Anonymous, which was performed at the Unity Theatre in 2015 and toured the North West in 2016. I went on to write my next play, Mummy's Boy, which was one of six finalists of the Liverpool Hope Playwriting Prize in 2017. I adapted the opening scene of Mummy's Boy into a short film, which is now available to watch here.
In June 2019, my novel A Single Source of Truth was released on Amazon in paperback and eBook.
I currently live in Liverpool with my wife and son, and I'm writing my next book. To be one of the first to find out more, sign up to my mailing list here.
